Music Ministry

Our music department is gearing up for another great year! If music is something you’d like to try, there are two ways to get involved.  You can join our Bell Choir, or our Chancel Choir!

Bell Choir will meet every other month, one night a week.  Then they will play in worship one Sunday, every other month.  See Kimberly for details on days and times of rehearsals.

Chancel Choir meets select Wednesdays at 7 pm, and sings the first Sunday of each month.  A schedule of rehearsals will be available for planning.
FAQs

Do I have to be able to read music?  No!
In the bell choir, established members will help you learn to mark your music so it’s easy to follow.  You only have to know how to count!
In the chancel choir, you are singing your part with others.  You will find it is easier than you think to learn a part, then follow others in your section to grow strong.

Do I have to commit to every month for choir, or every other month for bells?
Chancel Choir, no.  Bell Choir, yes.
Chancel choir is flexible with people’s schedules, as there are usually several people that sing the same part.  We do ask for a general commitment, but if a month doesn’t work here or there, we can cover you!

Bell choir needs a solid commitment, as much as possible.  Because one person rings certain bells, and only that person rings those certain bells, it is important to be there as consistently as possible.  The great thing is that the commitment is every other month, leaving alternating months free!
