Summary:
Vibrant United Methodist Church in northern Colorado is seeking a skilled and dedicated Accompanist for our adult choir. We are a community that values meaningful worship with practical life application, embracing our Wesleyan theological roots. The ideal candidate will be a talented musician with a passion for congregational music and a desire to contribute to our worship experience. We are looking for someone who can collaborate effectively with our Music Director and choir members, enhancing our monthly performances and weekly rehearsals.

Responsibilities (Regular, Weekly/Monthly):

• Accompany Choir Rehearsals: Provide piano accompaniment for weekly choir rehearsals on Thursdays from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, September through May.
• Accompany Choir Performances: Provide accompaniment for monthly choir performances during our Sunday morning worship service at 9:30 AM, September through May.
• Collaborate: Work closely with the Music Director to select and prepare appropriate music for worship services.
• Musical Excellence: Maintain a high level of musical proficiency and contribute to the overall quality of our worship music.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in piano accompaniment.
• Experience: Previous experience accompanying choirs is preferred.
• Organ (Preferred but Not Required): Ability to play the organ is a plus, but not a requirement.
• Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Dependability: Reliable and punctual for all rehearsals and performances.

Seeking a part-time Nursery Worker for UMC Johnstown. They will be responsible for nursery care during Sunday morning service and typically be paired with a youth volunteer.

Job Duties:  

• Primary staff for nursery area Sunday mornings (9-11am) for Sunday morning worship.
• Care for children ages 0-3.
• Help coordinate Youth Volunteers with other church staff.
• Make recommendations to improve nursery area.

Requirements & Salary

• Ability to pass background check
• CPR & First Aid certified or willingness to get certified
• 16+ years of age
• Previous experience a plus

Pay: $35 per Sunday (Up to 2 hours)
Reports to: Kariann Bandy, Children's Ministry Director.
