A Seat at the Table: Jesus' Radical Welcome

In Mark 2:13-17, Jesus demonstrates His mission in a simple yet revolutionary act: dining with tax collectors and sinners. When questioned, Jesus responds with timeless clarity: "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have come to call not the righteous but sinners."
"Jesus’ table isn’t about who we are or what we’ve done—it’s about who God calls us to be."
This passage reminds us that God’s love knows no boundaries, and His invitation is for everyone.

Jesus’ mission was to seek out and embrace those on the margins. How can you extend this radical welcome to others?

Action Step: Reach out to someone who might feel excluded and show them the love of Christ.

Prayer Prompt: Lord, help me to see and welcome others as You do—with open arms and a loving heart.
Day 2: Trusting God’s Call
Scripture Reference: Proverbs 3:5-6
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding."

Levi trusted Jesus’ call and followed Him. What might God be calling you to trust Him with today?

Action Step: Identify an area where you feel hesitant to trust God and commit it to Him in prayer.

Prayer Prompt: Jesus, guide me to trust Your plan and follow where You lead.
Day 3: Embracing Grace Over Rules
Scripture Reference: Romans 3:23-24
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by His grace."

The Pharisees focused on rules, but Jesus focused on grace. How can you shift your perspective to embrace grace in your life and others’?

Action Step: Extend grace to someone who has fallen short or hurt you.

Prayer Prompt: Father, teach me to live and lead with grace, just as You have shown grace to me.
Day 4: Seeing God’s Image in Others
Scripture Reference: Genesis 1:27
"So God created mankind in His own image."
Every person is made in God’s image, even those we find difficult to love.

Action Step: Reflect on someone you struggle to connect with and pray for the ability to see God’s image in them.

Prayer Prompt: Lord, open my eyes to see Your image in everyone I meet, even when it’s hard.
Day 5: Living as One Who Is Trusted by God
Scripture Reference: Matthew 5:16
